Who we are
Organic Revolution is a family run business, run by James Evans in partnership with his father Brian. James graduated Harper Adams University and spent a short time working outside agriculture in marketing. However, he soon became restless with city living and started looking for a way to return to his family farm near Kington, Herefordshire. A passion for growing quality organic produce, combined with James' marketing experience, gave him just that opportunity in the form of an organic box delivery company.
What we do
Here at Organic Revolution we believe that everyone should have access to quality seasonal organic produce. Wherever possible, we will grow the produce ourselves, and as our customer base grows, so too will the range of vegetables that we grow. If we can't grow it, we will do our best to source it locally. We also believe in keeping things simple, we will deliver free of charge to anywhere within our delivery area.
The Benefits
There are lots of reasons why our vegetable box scheme is a good idea.
Firstly, it's good for you! The NHS recommends we should all eat 5 portions of fruit and veg every day (that's 5 portions all together; not 5 portions of each), and yet the average person in the UK gets only 3. They are full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and also a great source of fibre, helping to reduce your risk of stroke, heart disease and some types of cancer.
Additionally as all of our produce has been grown organically, so there will be no residues of artificial fertilisers or pesticides. It's also better for the environment. Our produce will be delivered to you in reusable plastic boxes, and won't be overly packaged like the produce you'll find on the supermarket shelves. Buying local foods also means fewer food miles; if your food has been grown a long way away, there will be increased global warming resulting from its transportation. Additionally, organic farming has been shown to be better for the environment than other traditional methods, the weeds provide seeds for our native birds and small mammals.
